Based on my experience as a yoga teacher and my own personal burn-out history I designed a 4-week class series to help people in a professional environment enhance their ability to focus and relax, and to reduce stress. Stress is caused by lots of thing, not just work. In our modern society our senses are constantly roused. Unfortunately, our bodies can't hardly differentiate between actual fife threatening situations and everyday situations that we perceive as threatening or stressful.
It is essential that we allow the neuro biological system to calm down every now and then, to prevent excessive production of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenalin and avert physical and mental exhaustion.
In one month I teach people in 4 brief lunchbreak sessions and with homework assignments to recognise the physiological symptoms of stress, to break the physical chain reaction of stress, to enhance their ability to concentrate and focus, and offer them practical solutions to relax.
